firstadopter · x · 2026-07-25
Moonshot founder Yang Zhilin argues that Google and OpenAI are optimized for different outcomes: Google can produce scientific results, but not a product like ChatGPT that combines execution, demand capture, and system engineering at the extreme. He says OpenAI did not invent anything fundamentally new; instead, it assembled the Transformer, massive compute, and decades of internet data into an industrial masterpiece that became a milestone on the road to AGI.
