Google AI summaries may surface results previously removed under privacy requests
A Reddit user says they had certain search results removed years ago through a right-to-be-forgotten/privacy request. Those pages no longer appear in standard search results for their name.
But when searching their name now, Google’s generative AI summary above the results still uses the same removed information. The user argues this makes the original removal effectively meaningless and asks how to fix it.
The post is framed as a privacy complaint about how generative summaries can re-expose data that was intentionally delisted.
