Another Claude Code user on the Max X5 plan reports that their usage quota can jump to 100% within minutes after a software update, even when they are not actively using Claude.
Their observations
- After updating the software, the quota immediately hit 100%.
- Later, the reset window also climbed from 0% to 100% in roughly 7 minutes.
- They say only their mobile phone was logged in, and they were not using Claude on any other device or via Claude Cowork.
Why it matters
The report points to a possible regression in usage accounting or account activity tracking, where quota is consumed despite apparent inactivity.
