The author says they have been stuck on a GPU-mode Cholesky optimization challenge for four days, hovering around 800–1000 microseconds and running out of Codex tokens for the last two days.
They’re now trying a simpler rewrite with Opus 5, and the attached leaderboard shows the current top 10 timings, with the leader at 205.840 μs and the author still outside the top ranks.
