Fireworks says open models and an open ecosystem let intelligence compound inside the companies that actually create value, and the company says it signed an open letter supporting open weights.
The attached image is the letter “Open Weights and American AI Leadership,” dated July 24, 2026, with a long list of signatories including AI labs, infrastructure companies, and major tech firms such as GitHub, Hugging Face, Microsoft, Meta, NVIDIA, OpenAI, Mistral, and others.
