Researchers open-source a 1.6B-parameter Minecraft world model and code
heghbalz · x · 2026-07-25
A team says it trained a 1.6B-parameter Minecraft world model and is now open-sourcing both the model and the code.
They also published the guide they wish they had from the start, covering:
- the architecture
- scaling decisions
- algorithm stability
- a live playable demo
This is more than a model drop: it’s a full technical package aimed at helping others reproduce and extend the work.
