Nous Research Introduces Credential Firewall for Hermes Agent
NousResearch · x · 2026-07-25
Nous Research announced a new credential firewall feature for Docker sandboxes within Hermes Agent.
The core mechanism ensures that real API keys never actually enter the sandbox environment. The system operates using stand-in tokens, which a local proxy swaps for real keys at the network boundary. This means that if a sandbox is compromised, the extracted tokens are useless elsewhere, significantly enhancing runtime security for AI agents.
