NVIDIA-backed open models pitch gets public support from Elon Musk
Jensen Huang shared NVIDIA’s letter arguing that open models matter, and Elon Musk replied that he gives it his full support.
The letter says:
- AI will transform every industry and be built by every country.
- Open models can improve safety and cybersecurity.
- They can accelerate innovation and diffusion.
- They support sovereignty.
The message is that the future likely includes both frontier closed models and frontier open models.
