Brazil tokenizes 10 dairy cows as loan collateral backed by AI health collars

Brazil has now tokenized dairy cows as collateral.
Ten cows in Paraná were used as backing for a loan of about $19,400 on B3, Brazil’s stock exchange. Each animal gets a digital ID generated from AI sensor collars that track health in real time.
The post says banks often discount livestock collateral by as much as 60% because they cannot verify whether the animal is actually alive. Continuous monitoring cuts that uncertainty, and Cowmed says it already tracks 100,000 cows worth about $395 million.
The company projects that a fifth of those cows could be pledged within two years, extending real-world-asset tokenization from treasury bills into working livestock.
