Frontier models may be better for information seeking, if you push them for sources

Frontier models are described as often being more right on average for information seeking, especially when users can push back, ask for sources, and watch the model hedge when it is uncertain.

The caveat is that this may look different in non-English languages and in Global Majority contexts, but the broader point is that a small subset of people deliberately use frontier models as a search-and-check tool rather than a chat toy.
