TRL adds out-of-the-box training on agent harnesses via OpenEnv
TRL now supports training directly on agent harnesses through its OpenEnv integration.
- The update lets developers train with harnesses such as opencode without extra glue code.
- The attached diagram shows a loop with policy, agent, proxy, and verifier components, plus message-level rollouts and padding-free dynamic packing.
- The pitch is that TRL can now handle real multi-turn agent transcripts and long episodes more efficiently, which matters for training coding agents in practice.
