Qwen Code bug: Fastmail MCP server authenticates but never returns tool listings
A user reports that Fastmail’s MCP server works in other LLM interfaces and coding agents, but in Qwen Code the OAuth login succeeds and then the tool/resource listing times out.
The report notes that:
- context7 and kagi MCP servers work fine in Qwen Code
- manual curl calls to the Fastmail server also succeed
- logs suggest the problem may be in Qwen Code’s handling of long-lived GET SSE streams
The issue is currently described as a timeout during tool discovery, after successful authentication.
