Schmidhuber backs open-source models distilling the web’s free-for-companies knowledge

Jürgen Schmidhuber says he supports open-source models distilling what commercial companies already distilled for free from the internet.
He adds that he published distillation work for free back in 1991 in Europe, and says the idea was later copied in the US and China.
