Arcee AI partners with the U.S. DOE on an open scientific model

Arcee AI says it is partnering with the U.S. Department of Energy to build Genesis-Science-1, an open-weight model for scientific research.
- The model is described as a governed research harness meant to help complete scientific computing workflows while keeping a reproducible record of its work.
- Arcee says the effort will be shaped by scientists and will include a contributor program for researchers, labs, universities, companies, and nonprofits.
- The company is also talking with infrastructure partners that can provide training or evaluation capacity, and says more work is still ahead.
