New Aggregation Methods Upgrade Permutation Tests with Uniform Power Dominance
ArthurGretton · x · 2026-07-24
Arthur Gretton and colleagues published a new paper introducing a series of aggregation methods (e.g., SingleBatch, TwoBatch). The approach upgrades Bonferroni-based permutation tests to the SB method, maintaining exact finite-sample level control while achieving uniform power dominance and inheriting all power guarantees, including minimax optimality. The methods can be applied to Multiple Hypothesis Testing and Conformal Prediction.
