Android NPU can already generate SD 2.1 images in about 6 seconds
A Reddit post shows local Stable Diffusion 2.1 generation running on an Android device with NPU acceleration.
The screenshot includes the generation parameters:
- 20 steps
- CFG 7.0
- seed 3187825996
- 512 output size
- 6.1 seconds runtime on NPU
The author says they are still surprised by how far on-device generation on Android has come, and points to a GitHub project behind the demo.
