AI for older adults is becoming a major startup market
Y Combinator argues that aging is one of the biggest underserved markets in tech: by 2030, one in five Americans will be over 65, but there still will not be enough caregivers.
The post highlights where AI could matter most:
- voice interfaces that are easier for seniors to use
- monitoring systems that help older adults live independently and safely
- robotics
- tools for family caregivers
YC is also explicitly inviting founders building for the aging population to apply for its Fall 2026 batch.
