OpenAI rolls out ChatGPT Voice on desktop with voice control for multiple agents
threepointone · x · 2026-07-24
OpenAI says ChatGPT Voice is now available in the desktop app on macOS and Windows.
Users on Plus, Pro, Business, Edu, and Enterprise plans can now control their computer and direct multiple agents running in ChatGPT Work or Codex using voice alone. OpenAI says the feature is powered by GPT-Live, which can speak, listen, and coordinate work in the app at the same time.
The launch is rolling out globally today.
A reply to the announcement mocks the demo with a local, DIY-style “murder bot” parody, but the core news is the desktop voice-control rollout.
