OpenAI adds ChatGPT Voice to the desktop app and lets it coordinate multiple agents
OpenAI says ChatGPT Voice is now in the desktop app. The feature can control your computer and direct multiple agents running in ChatGPT Work or Codex using just your voice.
The rollout is powered by GPT-Live, which lets ChatGPT speak, listen, and coordinate work in the app at the same time. OpenAI also highlights three related desktop features:
- macOS Screen context for the frontmost window
- Multi-folder local projects with a primary folder
- Automatic discovery of AGENTS.md, skills, and config.toml from the primary folder
Voice is available globally today on Plus, Pro, Business, Edu, and Enterprise plans, including through Remote on iOS.
