OpenAI adds ChatGPT Voice and remote Codex guidance in the desktop app
ChrisGPT · x · 2026-07-24
OpenAI is rolling out ChatGPT Voice and remote guidance for Codex.
- The desktop app lets you talk through work and coordinate tasks across Chat, Work, and Codex.
- On macOS, Screen context can share an app snapshot from the frontmost window.
- Voice is available on Plus, Pro, Business, Edu, and Enterprise plans, and via Remote on iOS.
- The screenshot also shows multi-folder local projects, where related folders can be attached to a project; new chats, Git operations, and auto-discovery of AGENTS.md, skills, and config.toml use the primary folder.
