The author points out that this is likely the slowest AI math will ever be. Going forward, any problem with a verifiable answer has the potential to be solved at the speed of inference. Historically, the growth of mathematical knowledge was bottlenecked by human patience, but that limit has now been replaced by compute—a resource that compounds exponentially over time.
