SN44 launches a card-grading challenge that scores five visual quality signals

Score’s SN44 is launching a Pokémon trading card grading challenge on July 27.

Miners receive front-and-back card images.
They must predict five separate categories: overall grade, surface, corners, edges, and centering.
Each prediction is scored independently against professional ACE grades.
The dataset is mostly Pokémon cards, but also includes other trading cards so models cannot simply memorize one format.
The goal is to test whether AI can inspect physical objects and make consistent, measurable judgments that generalize beyond a single card type.
