Andrew Dai says visual thinking is as fundamental to AGI as language, arguing that engineers, architects, designers and other knowledge workers will only fully benefit from AI if its visual reasoning improves significantly.

He points to Elorian’s thesis, highlighted in a Fast Company interview, that learning from and reasoning about images is central to rapid intelligence gains. The post is essentially a call to treat visual cognition as a first-class AI capability rather than a side feature.
