Former OpenAI research VP says math will look very different once models take over
The quoted remark is attributed to Jerry Tworek, a former OpenAI research VP, who says mathematics is the language of abstraction — but once models take over the field, which he believes will happen soon, the field will look very different.
He adds that if you can build a good abstraction and manipulate it, math gives you a bird’s-eye view of ML research.
