AGI House is hosting America’s first Distillation Summit, centered on one of AI’s most contested topics: how much of frontier capability can be compressed into smaller models.
The agenda includes:
- whether distillation is enough, or still needs architecture/RL/other ingredients
- on-policy and adversarial distillation
- open-weight vs. closed frontier labs
- scaling distillation to agents and long-horizon tasks
- self-distillation, self-improvement, and ethics
The event also frames distillation alongside IP and national security concerns, and brings together researchers, government officials, founders, and executives.
