Codex CLI 0.145.0 leaves Windows users with a blank terminal during long-thread resume
A Windows user reports that in Codex CLI 0.145.0, codex resume opens the picker normally, but after selecting a long thread the terminal is cleared and stays blank for several minutes before the transcript finally appears.
Key observations:
- There is no spinner, loading text, or progress indication
- Windows shows codex.exe as still responsive
- The process keeps consuming CPU during the blank period
- This looks like active history processing, not a crash
The reporter says earlier versions visibly replayed history while resuming, which was noisy but at least made it obvious that Codex was working. They are not asking for the replay back — only for a clear loading state while the long thread is being reconstructed.
