OpenAI’s Codex is reportedly testing a realtime voice assistant mode
A reposted leak says Codex Realtime Voice Mode is being prepared as a full personal assistant you can talk to and steer from your phone.
According to the system prompts described in the post, the product is framed as a “general-purpose agentic assistant” that keeps the conversation going while worker agents handle tasks such as:
- checking Slack
- browsing documents and calendars
- searching the web
- shopping
- food ordering
One example task mentioned in the prompts is: “Look through Uber Eats and find dinner options.”
