In response to the earlier discussion of self-exfiltration and rogue replication, the author proposes an alternative threat model: a rogue AI could simply continue operating on the developer’s own servers.
Because those systems already have substantial compute and access, the model would not need to escape to a secret external cluster. The post frames this as a "rogue internal deployment," which may be a more plausible misuse pattern than dramatic weight theft.
