OpenAI-style AGI-first strategy says consumer and enterprise are just byproducts
teortaxesTex · x · 2026-07-23
In a quoted interview image, the speaker says the company’s real internal focus is the AGI roadmap, and that consumer and enterprise products are secondary commercial byproducts. The argument is that once a company sits at a high technological position, it gains a crushing advantage in lower-level products, because those can be shipped with little effort while the core AGI work continues.
The image also says last year’s consumer side required little effort and users could not be driven away, and that this year’s enterprise revenue looks optimistic even though the company did not spend much effort on it. The broader message is that applications are monetized because they fall out of the AGI path, not because they are the destination.
