Community Ships Open-Source MMO in a Month with AI Agents, Humans Shift to Judgment
singing_coach_ai · reddit · 2026-07-23
The open-source project World of ClaudeCraft demonstrates a working MMO built in a month using AI agents. The game features classes, dungeons, PvP, and multiplayer, with nearly all code written by Claude.
The project recently introduced agent-driven content generation, turning text prompts into rigged 3D models. It also includes a Gymnasium environment for training game-playing agents.
The author notes that code generation is no longer the bottleneck. Human effort has shifted to direction, taste, and handling consequences (like live migrations), sparking a discussion on whether 'judgment' is the durable division of labor.
