Math researcher warns that AI-generated proofs should be understood, not reposted

A mathematician warns against copying an AI-generated example or proof and then asking the model to explain it.
The point is that this produces a hollow explanation that can be misleading or even harmful. Instead, the better workflow is to use AI as a tool to understand the material first, then write the explanation yourself. That, the post argues, is the real scientific use of AI: understanding first, publication second.
