UK Appoints New AI Minister, Pushing Manufacturing and Security Initiatives

The UK Prime Minister's office has officially appointed Kanishka Narayan as the new Minister for Artificial Intelligence. Within 48 hours of taking office, he outlined a strategic vision to shape AI development with British leadership.
On the industrial front, he aims to reindustrialize through AI manufacturing, holding calls with leaders like Demis Hassabis to transform technological advantages into British jobs and reaffirming Arm's role as a UK AI champion. On the security front, he plans to collaborate with UK intelligence and the NCSC to secure British AI, while aiming to make the AI Security Institute (AISI) a global hub for talent.
