Elon Musk says most robot demos online are pre-programmed or remote-controlled, and argues that no humanoid robot can yet do generalized tasks. He says Tesla’s Optimus is meant to be the first robot that is genuinely useful in everyday life, with human-level or better hand dexterity and the ability to learn new tasks across homes and factories.
