Claude Code CLI 2.1.218 adds several workflow and accessibility improvements.
New features
- In --ax-screen-reader mode, deletions made via common shortcuts now get spoken feedback for word and line removals.
- claude mcp list and /mcp now show HTTP status and error text when a server fails to connect.
- MCP configs with hidden leading or trailing whitespace now trigger a warning.
- Fast mode announcements now update when model switching changes it via /config model=<x> or Remote Control.
- yes/no/on/off/1/0 are now accepted as boolean values in skill and plugin frontmatter.
Fixes
- Fixed Windows path corruption for \u-prefixed segments such as C:\Users\unicorn.
- Fixed a bug where pressing the left arrow right after editing could discard the conversation with no undo.
