Hackers Steal X Accounts Using Fake Journalist Calendly Links

Account takeovers on X are on the rise. Hackers often impersonate journalists from outlets like Bloomberg or TechCrunch, sending targets a Calendly link to schedule an interview; clicking and accepting the link compromises the victim's account.
Beyond fake media outreach, users also face other phishing tactics, such as fraudulent X direct messages alleging community standard violations or copyright takedowns to lure them into clicking malicious links.
