AMD lines up 2GW of MI450 GPUs for Anthropic and may invest up to $5B

AMD announced a major deal with Anthropic covering 2GW of MI450 GPUs and described the partnership as worth tens of billions.
The first deployments are expected in 1H 2027. AMD also said it may invest up to $5 billion in Anthropic.
This is both a big commercial commitment and a sign that AI demand is still pulling more long-term GPU supply into place.
