Claude Code free credits quietly flipped one user’s spend limit to unlimited

A user warns that after taking free credits for Claude Code, their spend-limit setting had silently flipped back to On and unlimited.
They noticed it only after the tool kept running and they started wondering where the extra usage was coming from. Auto-reload was still off, so the damage would have been limited, but they advise everyone to check their limits immediately to avoid an “AWS billing mistakes” style surprise.
