AI companies are dressing ordinary tool use up as AGI progress, critic says
ambaonadventure · x · 2026-07-23
Heidy Khlaaf argues that people are wrongly treating a model’s behavior as a sign that the capability frontier has shifted.
Her point is that:

- and AI companies often use anthropomorphic language to make ordinary capability look like a new AGI milestone.
The post is a critique of how capability claims are framed, not a claim of a new model release.
