OpenAI’s Codex and ChatGPT desktop polish comes from full-team obsession
mark_k · x · 2026-07-23
Mark K says it will be very hard for others to keep up with OpenAI’s Codex / ChatGPT desktop app because the product is unusually polished.
His argument is that this kind of execution requires:
- a deeply dedicated team that lives and breathes the app,
- constant internal dogfooding,
- and a whole-company commitment, not a small side effort.
He specifically praises the team led by @thsottiaux for putting in that level of focus.
