GitHub's copilot-cli v1.0.74-1 adds support for gemini-3.6-flash and ships several workflow fixes.

What changed

• First-run splash now asks users to opt into the default sandbox.
• Session multiplexing no longer leaks an open dialog across sessions.
• The $ shell shortcut now opens a shell even while the agent is working.
• Plan mode allows session-folder planning artifacts while still blocking clear file mutations outside the session folder.

Fixes

• /mcp add and /mcp edit now preserve = in environment variable values, which matters for base64 padding and secrets.
• Remote uploads stop retrying permanent Mission Control 400/404 responses.
• Oversized tool-result images are downscaled so Responses requests keep working.
