Hugging Face rolled out a batch of huggingfacehub / hf CLI improvements aimed at terminal and agent workflows:
- Sandbox: spin up cloud machines in seconds (hf sandbox create)
- Better Jobs control: retries (--attempts 3), hf jobs rerun, rescheduling, port exposure
- Faster Storage Buckets: loading a 2.15GB parquet dropped from 120s to 7s; S3-like storage up to 3x cheaper than S3, with live file tracking
- Shared cache across repos: the same file is stored once — 28.6GB shrunk to 9.5GB in their example (19GB saved)
- hf CLI skill: agents kept 100% accuracy on 28 Hub tasks while cutting turns per task by 30%
Run hf update (or tell your agents to) to upgrade.
