OpenAI is reportedly planning a Georgia data center project, codenamed “Project Camellia,” backed by a 3.2-gigawatt power deal through 2032 with Georgia Power.
To address community pushback over data centers being seen as resource-hungry and low in local job creation, OpenAI is also pledging $80 million for the community and $71 million in Codex credits for students.
