AMD and Anthropic strike a multi‑billion‑dollar MI450 deal for up to 2 GW

AMD and Anthropic have signed a multi‑billion‑dollar deal under which Anthropic will deploy up to 2 GW of AMD MI450 AI chips starting in the first half of 2027.
AMD also plans to invest up to $5B tied to deployment milestones and says it will use Claude to help improve its chip technology.
