Arcee joins DOE’s Genesis Mission to build open science model GS1

Arcee says it has joined the U.S. Department of Energy’s Genesis Mission and is developing Genesis-Science-1, an open-weight model for scientific research.
According to the announcement, GS1 is meant to support scientific computing workflows while keeping a reproducible record of its work. The DOE is also opening a contributor program for researchers, labs, companies, and nonprofits, and Arcee says it is talking with infrastructure partners that can add training or evaluation capacity.
