SRAM costs are closing in on HBM, and 3D SRAM accelerators may finally have a market

A post argues that the economics of on-chip memory are shifting fast enough to make hybrid-bonded 3D SRAM accelerators commercially viable.

It claims SRAM on TSMC N5 costs about $95/GB and Samsung SF4 about $60–$70/GB, while HBM4 contract prices are around $35–$40 and rising. The gap has shrunk from roughly 5x–6x in the HBM3E era, so the author believes SRAM-based accelerators now have a real market.
