FuturingRobot raises nearly 1 billion yuan in a Pre-A round for home robots
The article says home robot company FuturingRobot has completed a Pre-A round of nearly 1 billion yuan, with investors including Inovance Capital, Nice Group, Guofu Venture Capital, Dening Capital, and a leading internet company. Existing backers such as Source Capital, Lianxin Capital, and Boyu Capital also followed on.
It describes this as the company’s third financing round in six months:
- January 2026: 200 million yuan angel round
- March: several hundred million yuan more
- Now: nearly 1 billion yuan Pre-A
Founder Zhang Yi previously built the online education company Zhangmen Education and is now betting on household robots. The company says:
- its robots have entered 500+ real homes
- cumulative service time has passed 50,000 hours
- user satisfaction is 96.8%
- its second-generation F2 robot uses a self-developed “robot brain” and a world action model (WAM)
The article argues the sector is shifting from “can the robot move” to “can it actually live in homes,” and says industrial-capital partners may help with components, manufacturing, and household channels.
