Codex Windows desktop pet overlay can lose click and drag alignment over time
A GitHub issue against openai/codex reports that the desktop pet's invisible hit region can drift away from the visible mascot after the app has been running for a while.
- Right after a Windows restart, the pet is draggable across its full visible body.
- Later, only the upper part still responds; clicks on the center/lower body pass through.
- The problem affects both bundled pets and a valid custom v2 pet (Burny).
- Restarting Windows temporarily restores the correct hit region.
- The reporter says the pet width is already set to the supported minimum of 80 px.
The issue seems to be in the overlay behavior, not in any particular pet asset.
