MCP lets Claude read and write Obsidian vault notes without copy-paste
FinanceYF5 · x · 2026-07-22

- By default, users have to paste sources in manually.
- With MCP configured, Claude can read and write vault notes directly.
- The thread also notes there is a filesystem option that requires no plugin at all—just point it at the real vault path and Claude can touch the notes itself.
