Claude Fable keeps falling back on biology terms like pesticides and dichotomous key
WappaMan_05 · reddit · 2026-07-22
A biologist says Claude has become part of their workflow for restoration planning, permits, grant writing, Excel, ArcGIS Pro, and even app-building. After switching to Fable, however, the model repeatedly falls back to Opus when the user mentions plants, invasive species, pesticides, or even the phrase “dichotomous key.”
The post asks whether those biology-related restrictions will be relaxed, whether other users are hitting the same limitation, and whether any workaround exists. The user says Opus 4.8 already handles the work, but it would be nice to use Fable when available.
