Claude Code Updates: Memory Leak Fixes and 79x Smaller Transcripts

Anthropic's CLI tool, Claude Code, has received critical performance optimizations and security hardening in its recent releases.
- Performance: Version 2.1.208 fixed memory leak batches, reduced transcript sizes by up to 79x, and sped up tool rounds by 7x in MCP-heavy sessions. Version 2.1.216 eliminated the quadratic slowdown that caused long sessions to stall.
- Security: Versions 2.1.214 and 2.1.216 introduced stricter permission controls, including fail-closed bash checks, mandatory prompts for commands over 10k characters, proper worktree isolation, and protections against invisible Unicode spoofing in permission previews.
